Yes, you are making that up. DF even confirmed that the graphics are virtually the same between the x360 and Wii U versions. There are no better textures in play at all. Go ahead and compare for yourself.

Reggie was indeed telling a blatant lie. And no, that's not acceptable just because he's a PR guy. If someone who worked for Pepsi came out and said that Pepsi products taste better than Coke, that's fine. That's an opinion. However, the graphics in CoD can be objectively compared and analyzed (and they have). There is no room for opinion here so he should have just said something else to defend the WiiU's lack of processing power. He should not have lied.
I also find it ironic that when the interviewer points out that the Wii U has similar processing power to the x360/PS3, all he can do to attempt to dismiss this fact is to point to CoD. Despite the fact that CoD confirms the complete opposite of his assertion and demonstrates that the Wii U does possess current gen tech.
