Because I can't seem to wrap my head around it. The Wii U is supposed to be superior in all forms of hardware than the other two consoles, so why does the frame rate drop on some games? Especially seeing as how the 360 can play those games without dropping in frame rate, and when it is less powerful in terms of specs.

Because it's not proven stronger, only the GPU is. The rest is weaker.

Software's optimized for the 360 version. It's the same reason the PS3 version performs worse than the 360 version, even though the PS3 is more powerful than the Wii U.

Well, for one thing, it isn't superior in every way. The CPU is reportedly slower, but there's some kind of GPGPU mumbo jumbo that's supposed to make up for it. It's new hardware, developers don't know how to get the most out of it yet. Whereas they've had seven years working with the 360 to get it right.

If the PS3's Cell Processor has been proven stronger than the Xbox 360, then please explain the frequent drops in framerate in multiplatform games.

PS3 is stronger than 360, yet in skyrim the FPS drops more consistently. Also, if you ever play ninja Gaiden 2 there is one part of the game where the FPS drops 100% of the time.

The point I am making is that tech does not inherently mean you will keep your frames.Although, it is still a possibility to consider.
