Wii U sells only 400000 units during Thanksgiving week? Flop?

To be fair, Xbox 360 only sold that many because that's all they had to sell, as in. None stayed on the shelf, basically they sold almost instantly as they were entered into inventory from the shipping truck. That went on for awhile, I believe they only was able to ship 75,000 a week.

Cooper's prediction is more dire, saying there will only be between 300,000 and 350,000 units available in the U.S. on Nov. 22, when the system launches. (Cooper, in a note, said he expects two shipments from Microsoft (Research) this year one before launch and another in December.)

One 360 went for 5,000 on Ebay.

So claiming the Wii U outsold the 360 is irrelevant considering the 360 sold every system it shipped for over 3 months after launch almost instantly. You can't sell something you don't have.

The price tag of PS3 was high. If it was the same as Wii U's, it would have sold much more.

people still regard wii as a main console with the more game library.
Also the crazy deals that were dropped during black friday with the wii made people buy that one instead of the wii u (i think those deals were non-existent/not large enough)

...Same could be said with Wii U.

but the point is that Wii U isn't doing worse than PS3/Xbox 360 currently.

there would be more sales if Nintendo supplies more for purchase

Hmm a flag with the peace symbol on it. Your militant dictatorship can't have that, now can it Mario?

400k is a flop.

7/10 is a bad score.

It never ends.

If the Wii U is a flop, then the 360 was a catastrophe and the PS3 was the worst thing to happen to humanity.

Wii - 600,000 first week
Wii U - 400,000 first week
Xbox 360 - 326,000 first TWO weeks
PS3 - 197,000 first TWO weeks

Yeah but you expect Sony and MS products to sell low but not Nintendo.

LOL. Did he really just say this?

Stop... just stop.

400,000 is US sales only. Worldwide sales are a lot higher.

Vita sold over 300k at launch

launch sales mean nothing, seeing sales for the nest 3 months is MUCH more important.
