It's hard to be optimistic when you're messing with a $400 investment, and the majority of it's own fanbase has serious doubts about how successful it will be.

And all of these doubts are within reason. That's the worst part.

Why facepalm? The Wii U DOES have more high-quality games than the vita already. And don't you dare say that multiplatform games don't count. If so, then the Vita's only must-have game, persona 4 golden,, doesn't count.

It does sound like an excuse. Vita had launch games which mopped the floor (graphics wise) with every single portable game released so far. Wii had gamecube hardware and wii u so far haven't shown any expected improvement over its ancient hardware. psp was released 2004 and vita improvement it more than it was expected.

Well wii u did improve power wise from wii but it doesn't seem like futureproof console which could compete with ps4 and 720. Its just that wii u doesn't seem as improvement to many people and looks like its rather catching up to 7 year old hardware.

Just my opinion.

More time for what, and how much?

There's always the chance that I'm wrong, but this is the first time a home console relies on a GPGPU instead of a CPU. The developers need to grow accustomed to the new infrastructure to optimize the games.
