Yeah yeah.... inb4 you cant spell ignorant without ign. All of us know damn well if they gave this a 9.5 we would all be bragging about it, but since they like but dont love it, they dont matter. How convenient.

These console reviews are generally just a very stupid idea - and even more stupid is to start reviewing a console straight after it's released.

I honestly don't care about IGN either way, as I know they're biased.

Going back to the Gamecube days, I recall their review of Metroid Prime 2. Said how great it was, but complained that it was "too similar" to its predecessor, which hurt its overall score. Fast forward a bit, and Modern Warfare 2 launches. They said how great it was. Similar score to its predecessor. Absolutely no mention that it's fairly identical to Modern Warfare. Same deal with Modern Warfare 3, if I recall correctly. And yet Metroid Prime 3 also got knocked for being too similar to the first two.

tl;dr: A Nintendo franchise with similar gameplay over 3 games is repetitive, but Call of Duty 6 with similar gameplay to all the others is not repetitive.

How can you review a console? Isn't it all about the games? It doesn't matter if a console has a great controller, if it features this and that or is extremely powerful if the games themselves are crap.

It's too early to "review" the WiiU, devs don't even know what to do with it yet. Give it a year or something.

Why do you play games you don't enjoy? Are you a masochist?

Check the date, and no, it was just an ongoing review before. It's final now though.

BTW I own the U as you can see in my sig, and I agree with the review. Right now I would also grade it somewhere around a 7/10.

But like others have said they are just reviewing it on what it is right now, not on what it may be 2 years from now.

Yeah they gave the Vita a much higher score and look where it's at.
Sony products are always better according to IGN. Nintendo is viewed as the outdated dinosaur by most of these reviewers and the general teenage population.
