Wii U's cpu may not be exactly a Broadway with 3 cores.

PowerPC 476 shares all of the characteristics of the Broadway and shares a lot of characteristics of the Power7.
This fits in with IBM saying it shares some of the same tech as the Power7.

That does sound like a perfect candidate to base the Wii U CPU off of.

Yeah, makes for easy backwards compatibility since it has all of the characteristics of the Broadway, plus a lot of characteristics of the Power7.

So this would mean that the CPU is much stronger than the trolls on the board are making it out to be, right?

At the very least, it's almost as powerful as the 360's and PS3's CPU when used in the same way. Dunno if they might be able to draw out more power of the CPU by using it how it should be used.

I linked this already.

It's a powerPC 750 based.

It may some similar aspect to the broadway from the Wii. But it's modded beyond that.

No way you're getting the same power as a Cell, that's for sure. That thing's ridiculous to the point that you can link several PS3s together and form a mini super-computer by having them do parallel processing.

That's not to say the CPU is bad, it likely isn't.
