Sony & Microsoft's response to Wii U: LOL

Give them some credit, neither (even Sony) is a big enough idiot to underestimate Nintendo again.

Nintendo never came out with anything like Microsoft has, the Kinect is leagues ahead of a motion controller and the 3D Projection patent absolutely destroys waving a controller in the air

now Sony on the other hand, well obviously that's a direct copy

I'm not saying in terms of tech, I'm saying that both already made the mistake of dismissing them once (well, three times in Sony's case) simply because they were Nintendo.

Yet Kinect somehow manages to be less functioanl and responsive then the pre WM+ Wiimote...

PS: Eyetoy rip off.

I never claimed it actually worked well, I said it's leagues ahead of a motion controller, meaning the idea behind it. I'm sure in the next system it'll work much, much better. I'd say the 360's hardware bottlenecked the idea of it more than anything.

Kinect by itself blows except for playing games like Just Dance or Zumba Fitness. But the hologram projector with a regular controller, that could be interesting.

No, but I've had a Wii and I absolutely hated the motion controls for it, I honestly hate all motion controls because it's too much gimmick but when looking at the items on paper, that's another story. Full range of body motion compared to a controller, obviously the later is better and with a bit more work it'll be far superior than the motion controller, so MS is heading in the right direction with it, just needs work

The projector thing from Microsoft is actually kind of cool (if you have the right environment). It is one more step to really immersing your self into a game. But it could be really inconvenient (...and people think the Gamepad is bad?)

Sony's on the other hand...LMAO! That looks so stupid.

Nintendo's E3 2012 presentation was just weird and awkward. 95% of the games at launch look promising though.

Hologram projector with a powered up Kinect AND a super powerful console? Get ready to pay 1500$ for the thing

No way the hologram thing is true, do we even have that technology yet? Perhaps, but no way it's going to be cheaply accessible

Sony's one sounds sophisticated, and reminds me of that fake Nintendo controller concept which was based around two Nunchuks side by side with suitable button placement and stuff.

Microsoft though... What the hell are they thinking?
