OK im a HUGE Pikmin fan, HUGE. I LOVE PIKMIN!

Reggie is slumping the entire nintendo fanbase into this when he said "We give them Pikmin 3 and they ask, okay but what else you got?" he sounded insulted, well guess what reggie? I'M INSULTED, that was rude of him to slump me into that category.
I was so excited for Pikmin 3, best announcement of this years E3 and the reason i buy Wii-U

rant ovah.

Not everyone likes Pikmin. I like it, but I'm also in the "what else you got department"

"One of the things that, on one hand, I love and, on the other hand, that troubles me tremendously about not only our fanbase but about the gaming community at large is that, whenever you share information, the perspective is, 'Thank you, but I want more.' 'Thank you, but give me more.' I mean, it is insatiable.
And so for years this community has been asking, 'Where's Pikmin?' 'Where's Pikmin?' 'Where's Pikmin?' We give them Pikmin. And then they say, 'What else?'
For years, this community have said, 'Damnit Reggie, when you launch, you better launch with a Mario game.' So we launch with a Mario game, and they say, 'So what's more?'
I have heard people say, 'You know, you've got these fantastic franchises, beyond what you're doing in Smash Bros., isn't there a way to leverage all these franchises?' So we create Nintendo Land and they say, 'Ho-hum, give me more.' So it's an interesting challenge."

Pikmins a niche game and doesn't appeal to a very broad audience nor even the entire Nintendo audience. That doesn't mean its a bad though.

It sounds like Reggie is saying that fans are stupid.

He's right.

Fans want Metroid, F-Zero, Zelda, and so on. They got Nintendo Land instead.

Pikmin is amazing. I'm sure that almost everyone that owns a Wii U right now will be picking up Pikmin 3. It's almost guaranteed. It's a big system seller at this point, I know it was for me.

As much as I like it though, I'm starting to get curious what the future holds.
