I have no doubt that nintendo will produce stellar titles for the WiiU. What I'm worried about is the fate of Nintendo after the PS4 and 720 announce their touchscreen controllers.

They are? All I hear is Next box will have Kinect built in, or some crap and PS4 is going to have balls on their controller, that can separate.

Neither sound enticing.

Just a prediction. Would you really be surprised considering how the PS360 implemented motion controls into their system after seeing the Wii?

Just like how Wii was successful, and then both Microsoft and Sony "copied" Nintendo's motion control popularity in hopes of capturing their own crowd, the same will happene again if Wii Sells as well.

Because talking to my console to play games isn't exactly something I want to do. I already think it's stupid to talk to my phone to do stuff, would much rather type it. Only use the voice recognition feature for navigation.

I'd like the option to do so. You say only use is navigation? Ok, say you're stuck in a game, you don't know where to go. You think out loud, "where do i go?"

The mic pics up your voice and Cortana/Otacon answers "Check the door two rooms back. I've set a waypoint for you to follow."

There's one use. Navigation.

If graphics didn't matter we'd all still only play SNES and Genesis.

Gameplay no matter what means more. Graphics are the icing on the cake the DO enhance the experience, but DON'T make it. That's like saying Donkey Kong Country and Super Mario World are worse games than COD. There is really no comparison, SNES era was golden and have GREAT games.

I think that better hardware with better graphics do make for better games. I would much rather play Mass Effect than Kotor. Why? Because the power of the Xbox 360 makes Mass Effect a more immersive world due to better graphics. Xbox Kotor is primitive compared to Xbox 360 Mass Effect due to console power.

Apparently, the cool thing to say these days is that graphics and hardware power don't matter much though. I guess people feel cool saying that, because you must be cool if do not seek a powerful console. You are a hypocrite if you state that graphics and hardware power is not what you seek. That's exactly what you seek.

Better hardware doesn't make better games.

But, goddammit, it SHOULD. Too bad the only thing that better hardware ever does is make better GRAPHICS.

Actually yes it does.

Another Wiisurance thread, *sigh*

How so? There are countless games from previous generations that are regarded as being vastly superior to a lot of newer gen titles. This proves that hardware doesn't make the game. It makes the console better, yes. But not the games.

I'd rather play Mario World instead of Mario 64 or Sunshine.
7 and Tactics are my faves in the Final Fantasy series.

I'm definitely gameplay over graphics.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Motion and touchscreen controls will be standard next gen. Voice control isn't far behind.

Then gaming will die. GG, no re.

How do you figure?

It's simple. Motion controls are horrible.

Maybe to you.
