Even if they were not rumors, I'd be okay with this. The Omni will not be much more powerful than the Wii U. And the new Xbox won't be a gigantic leap either. And with only one console at the high end of the spectrum, what do you think developers will go for? The two systems close together in power with lower production costs, or the single system (which means less copies of their game sold) and substantially higher development costs.
