CURRENTLY its a 2tb limit. U could also partition your 3tb hard drive

NOT anymore, limit has been uplifted now and Wii U will accept larger HDDs... I say go for the 3TB deal, funny after I just got through formatting my 1TB Toshiba...satisfied though!

To have games visible through the Channels interface, must they be loaded onto Wii U memory or can they be accessible there despite being loaded on an external hdd?

With Wii, any channels that were on SD card meant players had to go into a separate Channels menu to access the games that were on the SD. I'm hoping this isn't the case with U.
