Junomaster2006Posted 12/4/2012 8:15:21 PM | I opted in on some Nintendo content and was wondering if my Wii U is always connected online? I'm just concerened though becuase when I play Call of Duty for my Xbox, to insure I have the best connection, I would turn off my laptop, take off Wi-Fi mode for my iPhone and conect my system from the router with an ethernet cord. I'm not sure if there is a Wi-Fi mode option to turn off when the system is off instead of pulling the powercord each time. |

aaronkelleyPosted 12/4/2012 8:31:21 PM | It's sort of funny. The Wii would leave the wifi on while in standby and periodically check for updates (new messages, current weather, etc.).
The Wii U takes a step backwards and does not use wifi while in standby.
(I sort of wish it had the option to download these huge console updates while in standby so that it would be ready to install when I power it on. :-P) |
