It does look neat, but it's not a game. Would be nice if free, but it's still a cash-in that was already done years ago.

So, has Google really taken 3D maps of the whole earth and in the sky? And in a video on youtube I saw the promo for the PV app, and the guy's family is watching a skydiving thing in real time....is that even possible? I don't get it.

I've been on Google Maps before and seen street view stuff, but I don't understand this PV thing.

google already had the pictures years ago.
they stitch their pictures like a quilt and with programming made the pictures take on a fish--

wizards did it

Are areas already mapped and what areas? Are they in the process of doing this or is it already done?

So, everything we see will be from the past? Like, if we see people walking around, it's from years ago and not recent or present time or anything?

Usually it's from years ago. I imagine famous, busy areas get updated more often. If you live in a small town it will probably date a few years back.
