Wii Remote & Nunchuck vs Wii U Pro controller

#1MoonpigMoonpigPosted 12/5/2012 6:02:01 AM
Hi

At the moment i have a Wii U and Pro controller unopened ready for my bro for Christmas.

I am looking to buy 3 extra controllers so we can play some 5 player Nintendo Land games over Christmas.

i can get 3rd party Wii Remote (wii plus inbuilt) & Nunchuck for 12 delivered in the UK or Wii U Pro controller for 38 delivered.

Do people generally prefer using the Pro over the Remote?

Are there any Wii U multiplier games that need the Remote and will not work with the Pro?

Or is the Remote only needed to play old Wii Games?

Can you recommend any other 5 player multiplier Games ? (i like the look of Trine 2 (3player))

Thanks

depends on the game

New Super Mario Bros U supports Wii Remote but not Pro Controller. I think Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed supports just about every controller.

Yes I know a few as its more like a traditional pad

Yes. NintendoLand and New Super Mario Bros U have NO pro compatibility . Though they should IMO.

Or is the Remote only needed to play old Wii Games?

No it's needed for mulriplayer on some games and others allow either mote or pro

Nah hidden stuffs are still in games these days...
you just have to pay for them. Capcom calls them DLC.

Don't you need a wii remote to plug it into, so it would be a bit pointless
