It's not which one of the two is hated and the other is loved. It is just considered which one is considered more severe.

Most of Europe doesn't consider either of them "more severe" as part of entertainment for adults.

11 PM to 3 AM is 5 hours. Are there millions of people in Europe who only have free time from 11 PM to 3 AM? Is Europe composed entirely of night owls?

Not that I'm saying it isn't kind of silly, but seriously, buy the game during the other 19 hours of that day available to you. Easily sidestepped that issue.

Aside from the fact that from 2300 to 0300 is four hours (not five), those are the hours when the game is available. As in, it can't be purchased for 20 hours of any given day.

I got it backwards then. This is significantly more ridiculous.

Europe actually rates M-17 games as 18+ (Adult Only)?

All this sneaking around afterdark gives these games a certain... allure.

This is completely ridiculous and there's no doubt in my mind that NoE will change this policy.

Just let the parental settings dictate what you can access as well. If not, any adult in Europe will have to use their Wii U's according to Nintendo's schedule, which is just ludicrous.

Also, this is not a "Europe" issue but a Nintendo of Europe issue. To my knowledge neither PS3 nor the 360 had these restriction.

I'm 19 but I'm very rarely awake between 11pm and 3am. I usually go to bed before 11 since I need to get up early in the morning, so this is ridiculous.

There's no way that this won't be corrected some time in the near future - there have been questionable decisions made by Nintendo so far but this one is actually insane. I can't understand why they'd do that.
