Why the F*** does Nintendoland tell me to TAKE A BREAK after I game for a bit???

#21jastenPosted 12/8/2012 1:11:59 PM
There is a difference between the start of the game sayin gyou should break every so often and an annoying pop up coming up alerting you that you need to take a break after a set time. That's ridiculous and needs to be stopped.

Uh the xbox always gives break messages

The original Xbox? I wouldn't know about that, but the 360 almost certainly doesn't unless they're extremely infrequent, I've often played Tales of Vesperia for over six hours at a time without being told to take a break, at least.

That kind of thing is extremely annoying, yeah. I wouldn't be pleased to see it included in, say Pikmin 3, as it'd really be distracting and take away from any immersion in the game's world, especially if they're going to make the messages as frequent as that. I like to game for long sessions, it should be up to the player or parental controls to select whether to show messages like that or not.

I played, and completeed (rush) ac revelations in 6-7 hours, no messages

I've never seen it.

me neither but it seems like nintendo is trying to eat their own ass up...

this first (read it about the 3ds as well) then the time limit... and durango and orbis is rumored to not be able to play used games.

what is the world coming too??

Absolutely no chance that systems won't be able to play used games.

Hope your right but the claim was it "ruined the industry" ALA piracy, because no money is earned from used game sales.

Blame that one guy that died playing too much World of Warcraft.

But thats like DAYS and WEEKS in one go, and it was his own life, it was a MMO game, and suicide isnt illegal either, not that you can punish a dead person.

WTF?!?!?

I'm a motherf***ing grown ass man and if I want to play Videogames for 10 hours its my prerogative.

Seriously Sony and Microsoft don't pull this s*** on their customers.
Imagine if Final Fantasy VII or Halo had like take a break warning that came up every 15 minutes!

>_<

I'm on an adult account and I want to be able play games and not get treated like a kid!!!
Hell even as a kid Super Mario Bros 3 or Link to the Past never told me to take a break.

These were grown ass men too lol (im not saying this will happen lol)

I believe its because they dont want you straining your eyes and such. Also, its just a recommendation, not like theyre locking the console from play until youre 15 minutes are up

Lol, this happens in a few games. I know in wow, loading screens tell you to take a break every now and then. Heck, I think I used to see messages like that in the chat box as well
