New Super Mario Bros U is such a beautiful game.

I just started playing, but the graphics are a very noticible improvement from the Wii game. I love the map and how it's all this big huge world. Definitely the best of the NSMB games.

Agreed. I bought this system for the game and am delighted (my wife and I played the old Wii one together and snagged every single secret star - probably the only game I've absolutely completed).

This game was the only reason I needed to buy the console. It's looks gorgeous, and it's just amazingly fun.

Showed a bunch of pals the system and this game a few nights ago... there were definitely some "oohs" and "aahs". I say, yes, it is the 'same Mario', so to speak, but it has two new elements - HD, and a new multiplayer element - which is worth the price of admission.

First off, why is HD Mario worth the price of 400+ dollars?

2nd, what new multiplayer element?

HD is not worth $60. The fantastic level-design and gameplay are.

For me personally? I've wanted an HD Mario game since I purchased my first HDTV roughly 12 years ago. That alone was worth the price of the console for me. The fact that the game is just brilliantly designed and a blast to play are just icing on the cake.
