Wii U

While I don't think the UK consumer is innocent (seriously. LOOK at what IS selling.) nor do I think Nintendo have done a great job of advertising the new console. (Yet to have seen any Demo stations up in the North East.)

However I am putting some of the software sales on places like Game and HMV. Most PS3, 360 games are at 39.99. Mario and Nintendoland were 49.99. And COD was 54.99. What is making the new console attractive? Sure a lot of people are thrilled at a new Mario or Nintendoland etc. But Joe Public just sees expensive games. Why buy lil johnnie the Wii U COD when they can buy it for £10-£15 cheaper on his old X-Box?

I work in Retail. This system is being advertised, we have tons of familes coming into our stores looking to buy new systems for their kids this christmas and Wii U always gets mentioned but 1/10 people will actually buy it. But Consumers aren't stupid. The system is overpriced and the games are overpriced. There is a recession going on

People need to start using their brains a bit more.

it made it to the news after eurogamer staffs encountered the problem. but who knows how long it has happened before that, could even be since launch.

Irrelevant. If word of mouth caused by that was bad enough to hurt sales, it would've hit new sites sooner. You actually have to own the console already to run into the problem.
