Nintendological posted...Wii U is moving 1.2 games per system sold, according to Longbow Research analyst James Hardiman, down from two games sold per console when Wii was first introduced in 2006. Hardiman gleaned his figures from the latest NPD report, via GI International, and believes the lower than expects units numbers derive from one of two things: the inclusion of NintendoLand with the Wii U Deluxe version; or the console price left consumers’ wallets a bit too empty to purchase more than one title

I venture to guess it's both reasons.
However, this also goes to show what will happen to the next Xbox and Playstation, especially since they will cost more than the Wii U does.
See, kiddos, this is why graphics do nothing more than hurt this industry. The cost of appeasing graphics ****** is driving up costs.
