Does trade in price get affected by the seal being broken?

I got a Wii U today, it came with a couple of games in a bundle, one of them, that Sonic racing game, I don't think I'll like.
Would I lose out by opening it and trying it just to see if I like it?

Yea. Broken seal always goes down. Unless you get lucky.

Generally people prefer their purchases to not be used in anyway so I would say it would affect the resell value.

PS+ has paid it's self for me. So from here on out I will refer to any new games as free.

If you're planning on trading the game into Gamestop, they won't take it. They only take open games for trade in.
If you don't want the game, then sell it. Gamegavel, Ebay, Craigslist, a friend/family member. Take your pick.

You won't get a cash refund from Wal-Mart without a receipt. FACT. But getting full retail back in a gift card could get you something you'd want more.
