Why does the Wii U limit how many times you can play a demo?

i remember when GTA had not yet been released and i bought a playstation mag with the demos disc

all i did was play the GTA demo on the ps1, again and again and again lol
played it so much i never bothered to buy the game actually.....

It's something that devs wanted so Nintendo made it an option to appease 3rd parties. Also I think its really dumb to complain about. Who plays a demo 15 times anyways?

It's not like any one is gonna play any demo more than 30 times any way, assuming you are the only person that plays on the system so I'll agree it is pretty stupid to put a limit on how many times you can play a lol demo.

That doesn't make any sense. If developers only wanted you playing a demo a certain number of times, they could easily program that limitation into the demo itself. They could also put in time limits or anything else they wanted. It seems to me like Nintendo is just placing artificial restrictions on developers.

from what I read it's up to the developers. They could probably put a limit of 10, 15, 30, 60, 99999999 if they wanted.
