Yeah, Nintendo could never survive having one of their consoles not be the most sold. N64 and Gamecube killed them off years ago. Actually, scratch that, Virtual Boy was the one that sealed their fate.

They've lasted for 50 years, I doubt that they will suddenly fall three years from now with how well off they are.

Try over 100.

50?

Nintendo was founded in 1889. The company is 124 years old.

Are they really that old? What did they start out as?

tc should never use the word rational again.

Nintendo doesn't have to be number one, It just has to do what it does. They sell the consoles and handhelds they make, they sell the games they make, they sell the accessories they make, and they make a profit.

They won't take huge risks and even with the risks they take it won't put them out of business if it did flop. They know how to run a company not like others.

I find it funny that everyone on this site thinks they know whether the Wii U will succed or fail. All you shared was opinion with out being objective at all (e.g., "as will be very clear by this time next year when it's weekly sales are counted in the low five digits"). Full of bias and subjective points.

You are a user from gamefaqs that gets the same info as everyone else - from game new sites. You don't know anything in regard to whether or not it will succed or fail, or have any real knowledge of the industry or how it works unless you read it secondhand (FYI: either do I).

You are not special. You have no clue what your talking about. I don't care if you thought the Wii U was going to succeed and be the most profitable console, as it would not change my view.

Sony is on the brink of Financial collapse and Microsoft is going the ultra-casual apple route with their next console. Nintendo will really be the only one of them left for the 9th gen of home consoles.
