Virtua Fighter 3?

This! Oh my God, seeing this thing at the arcades for the first time was incredible. Those FMV people were raving about? I'm playing it in VF3.

And Gears of War.

The jumps from Nes/Sega/Snes/n64/ps1 were obvious

when I got gamecube at launch:
Rouge Squadron
Luigi Mansion

When I got my 360 at launch, Kameo.
recent games that gave me a wow factor graphically: Gears 3, batman: AC and Halo 4.

Arkham Asylum, the fluidity of the combat and how simple the input is

Portal - The portal technology and storytelling

Team Fortress 2 - Character animations,

Painkiller - Crazy bosses, physics

Unreal Tournament 2003 - Bump mapping, physics, detailed models

Super Mario 64 - The sheer amount of freedom blew everything else out of the water

Metal Gear Solid - Immersion

Mass Effect - Immersion

Half-Life 2 - Physics, environments, character animations

Crysis - Graphics and environments

GTA 3 - Like playing an action movie

Demons Souls - Perfect blend of old and new; immersion

During Far Cry on the PC.

Oh wait, this is about crappy console graphics like the PS3. In that case, i have never, ever felt it because my computer was always superior.

Given that the topic is in Wii U Hardware Console, it's reasonable to think it's a Wii U specific topic. So yeah, "Wii-only owner detected" is kind of a troll comment.

Wow, you're so cool for listing one game that was worth owning a PC for. You're forgetting all the other RTS & FPS that defined the PC, and still couldn't hold a candle to what consoles had to offer back then, unless you only played these 2 genres.

I forgot to add MMO's and RPG's. Personally, I owned a PS2, Gamecube and gaming PC when Far Cry was released, and I loved all three equally. Acting like the PC is the only thing worth owning is just limiting your enjoyment.

I have personally had that feeling a few times, once when I played halo and dead or alive 3 on the oringinal xbox. When I had a Xbox 360 I was disappointed with it until Gears or war and Dead rising. With the wii u I haven't had that moment yet hopefully I will.

I honestly can't say I've ever been blown away by any graphics aside from maybe the first time I saw Super Mario 64.
