I am playing New Super Mario, but I want to play it on the TV with just the wii remote plus and not use the game pad at all.
I turned off the gamepad volume, but the display is exactly whats on my TV

If you are using something other than the Gamepad, you can at least turn off the display by pressing the Home button, and going into the Gamepad options. --- http://lazerlight.x10.mx/ - Lazer Light Studios - Home of the MM2 PTC project

you can't. Deal with it.
Stop giving out false information.
As said, when playing with say the wii mote or a pro controller, hit the home button on the gamepad, controller options and display off. Then use the other controller to exit back to the game. Keep in mind the controller is still on so make sure it is on the charger or somethin when doing it. --- WWE Diva and SES season 1 winner. Smart. Sexy. Powerful. You can turn off the display by hitting HOME and looking at the GamePad settings. Unfortunately you can't turn off the screen while using the GamePad because it'll just turn on again. --- Come see my game collection: http://www.backloggery.com/bakonbitz
