I really liked Skyward Sword.

I don't know what the fuss is about.
I never felt that the controls were unresponsive or gimmicky. I actually prefer the motion control to button pushing (like, in a Wii-way, not in a Kinect-way) in a way.
Plus I thought that Twilight Princess was a tad too grim for a Zelda game.

It's my favorite Zelda.
I think the controlls are fantastic.
The gamplay is great.
The music is superb.
The exploration is a little lacking, but still good.

I'm still scratching my head too...

I do Let's Plays. Currently, and close to done on Skyward Sword.

The Motion Controls were Fantastic.

My Main Problem was with the Pacing, Story, and The Sky. Wind Waker did all of these right, yet Skyward Sword ended up being Mediocre in these areas. Skyward Sword had superb Level Design though.

They made a moon base to survey my standards but they have yet to make visual contact.

Yeah, I know, opinions are personal and stuff, but I am just a bit surprised with all the hate that this very nice game seems to be getting.
I mean, it is not the best Zelda, but it is definitely far from being the worst one.

I liked the motion controls... and still thought the game was so forgettable. Miyamoto was a HUGE part of why OoT was so great, since it was so different and new.

Now Nintendo just hands that same formula over to their design drones and tells them to recreate it. So generic.

Yeah, it is my favorite Zelda game. The controls are definitely my favorite part. Best use of the Wii's controller of any game I have, and my second favorite Wii game. 1 to 1 swordplay was great, bombs finally got fun to use for me, I liked swimming with Link's body matching the level of the controller, and none of the items felt like crap to control at all.

Dungeons were overall great for me. Ancient Cistern, Sandship, and Earth Temple were some of my favorite dungeons in the series. Skyview, Mining Facility, and Sky Keep were average. Kolotos is one of my favorite regular bosses in the series. Ghiriham was lots of fun, and I loved having him as the first boss instead of some weakling that went down to the first item.

That said, Fi sucked. I hated having her interrupt me to say obvious stuff. And I thought Fire Sanctuary was incredibly boring. Those are my only complaints.

My main gripe with the game was the controls. Everything else was pretty good, I was not a fan of the swordplay in the game. I don't need the fanfare, just give me a button to press and I will enjoy myself tenfold.

OPINIONS!
