So what will Nintendo's next console be after the Wii U?

I hope they get rid of the Wii moniker and go back to making an actual video game system without the gimmicks.

As opposed to a "fake" gaming system?

Wii Z duh.
It puts the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose again.

If you want a game console without any gimmicks, then don't play any video games. They are, by definition, gimmicks.

New Wii U, with the same graphics but new overpriced gimmicks.

Well theres a rumour round the traps tha Nintendo have submitted another series of patents not long ago. Could be that another Nintendo console may come out shortly after Sony & MS's. There are also rumours of two new player, one of them Steam.

However, in 5 yrs I hope that nano tech imaging occurrs, we could be seeing Holographic imaging equipment by 2020. Course if Nintendo embrace it first (& lets face it, they probably would) other console fanboys would just end up calling it a gimick... >.>

Well by this time they'll be masters at motion controls and 3D, so they might try to move towards virtual reality stuff that actually works. Think of something like the Virtual Boy but with 2017 technology. (it sure won't be so heavy that you think your neck might break while playing)
