Id like to see where the 6+4=11 quote came from.

It started with a member named SailorGoon who was stating that Vita sales in each territory equaled 1.1m when each region were 600k and 400k. It can be found in some earlier Media Create Thread. This is also where the term Mathmagics came from.

<<blink>>O.O<<blink>> Are they still making new Xbox's?

No, that teamxbox link is from December 2005's NPD sales data, which showed how old systems always outsell new systems. The 360 was outsold by every other system on the market that year. The same thing happened with the PS2, the PS1 greatly outsold it launch year.

All this proves is that the Wii U is having a very solid launch even if it isn't selling out. (which is due to Nintendo flooding stores with as many units as they can)

It is also worth noting that Amazon isn't stocking the Wii U, at all. Only Third Party sellers have them. (even if they are Prime ready) So Nintendo is already working with a handicap compared to Sony and Microsoft.

It came from the troll Aceandjunpei having zero reading comprehension skills, when I talked about Vita sales. I had mentioned 600,000+ sales plus 400,000 sales plus additional worldwide sales equalling 1.1 million. He took it as 600,000+400,000=1.1 million. The other trolls took it from there with their unhealthy obsession with me.

I really think that's a non issue. If someone really wanted one I'm sure the local Wal Mart would be in stock.

And whats the problem with using the Japanese launch numbers? Using just the Japanese launch figures, it was close to 400,000 at launch. Now the Vita has been out worldwide for a week, and it sold a little over 600,000. So its launch with just including Japan's initial launch and worldwide's one week sales, you get about 1.1 million units sold. Why is that invalid to compare to the 3DS's one week total sales of 1.4 million?

These are the total worldwide sales for the week of the 22nd according to VGchartz

3DS- 1,100,037
360- 806,678
PS3- 769, 445
Wii U- 390,662
Wii- 330, 870
DS- 263,643
Vita- 202,271
PSP- 134,294

Not bad considering the other consoles are more established at this point and not everywhere across the country has as large a stock as other areas. Also it isn't that shocking that the Vita sold better in Europe. Europe is a huge territory for Sony. Of course they will do well there.

Pretty sad when two dead systems like the DS and Wii are outselling the Vita, which only sold 67,977 more than a super dead system (PSP).
