What do you mean 'mature' games?
To me a mature games tells a story that goes beyond the superficial. Visually it has tact but isn't scared to make its point.
I don't consider main characters engaging in prolific slang language, sex acts or gross ultra-fpv killing as 'mature'.
I actually consider it very 'immature' & irresponsible.
This is because life is like this & has consequences for such actions.

Then theres relivancy in the issue. Nintendos' games contain elements so fantastically inclined, that theres literally no place a suspension of disbeief could occur, long enough, for mature content to forment & be relevent.

Even the japanese whom have been tackling elements of love & desire in games & animation, for decades, consider such themes still have massive room for improvement.

Now if Nintendo were to introduce new IPs that developed with socially acceptable mature content. I would have a problem with it.

Bayonetta 2 is on its way. Nintendo said they wanted to go all out with the Wii U, and they added a fair bit onto Ninja Gaiden 3.

Neither of those games are Nintendo games. They are Sega and Team Ninja games.

- Geist
- Eternal Darkness
- Conker's Bad Fur Day
- Fatal Frame IV

I know you may say but Nintendo didn't make those, well Nintendo did had a hands in the creation of all of them so in theory those games are technically Nintendo made.

Do you mean games that are rated M or games that have a mature story?

Wrong. 1/10 points for you. Do you even know how games are made?

Nintendo has never been much for stories, they have always been about gameplay.
And since the "mature" parts I'm interested in games are the stories. Can't care less for gore and skimpy outfits.
Considering that, sure Nintendo can try but I don't think they have enough experience for mature games. Althoo a well fleshed out with a mature and deep story Zelda game would be glorious.

Why is it so important that NINTENDO makes more mature games? We already have plenty of third party developers doing that.

Apparently you don't know what second party means.
