HozamaPosted 1/4/2013 5:55:01 AM | Back when games had built in save systems and renting was far more commen, would you ever play the most advanced file on a rental game before you even started a new game?
I must admit, I did this more than once. Something about all those items and skills, I just had to see what I could eventually do. |
P_A_N_D_A_M_A_NPosted 1/4/2013 5:57:33 AM | I don't remember that far back... --- Hello... you lost me at "hello"... Currently Playing: Zelda2, ZombiU |
BeanBeanKingdomPosted 1/4/2013 5:59:04 AM | Nah, I'd wipe the save files clean first thing when I booted the game. --- Had a Street Fighter signature for four years, but Crapcom doesn't deserve such recognition anymore. |
Chocobo115Posted 1/4/2013 6:01:24 AM | Now, I have only rented a game once and it had no save file. But say if I bought a used game I kept the old saves but started a new one only deleting the old save when I needed the space.
Actually a story I got (you'll probably won't believe me). I sold Shining Force 2 (Sega Mega Drive/Genesis) when I was younger. A few weeks later and in another town I saw Shining Force 2 used and kinda regret selling it. So I rebought it. When I booted it up, it turned out to be the exact same copy that I sold with my old saves still intact. So I finished that playthrough and have never sold a game since XD. |

One time I rented Yoshi's Story and my old file and high scores were still there from a few months before. I remember being really excited about it :') |

STN79Posted 1/4/2013 6:02:06 AM | I might have peeked at someone else's save file but promptly exited out. I like to make my own progress through a game. |

darkjedilinkPosted 1/4/2013 6:10:49 AM | I never rented a game that held its own saves. --- Gaming is like a pair of boobs - Sony and Microsoft fight over whos boobs look more realistic, while Nintendo is about having fun with them - Walkiethrougie |
