Isn't that how every system (including non-gaming devices) work?
You download your DLC or digital games, perhaps delete some for space.
I get all of it if I borrow or buy your system and can download all of the old stuff. >_>

Assuming you aren't a dick who reformats or something...

Only if you know the previous console owners password.

It's tied to your account on the PS3 and 360, not the console.

I'm not sure about the 360 (which is funny because that's my main console), but the PS3 used to let up to 6 accounts share the same content, but now they lowered it to 2.

But if you wipe your account from the console, you can't do it.

The Wii U, regardless if you delete your account or not, will let other people download your stuff.

It's just so sloppy, damn.

Nintendo games, bruh.

There is no such thing as a "Mario rehash" since only 1/2 true Mario platformers come out each gen, but Nintendo games are fun, enough said.

That said, Nintendo is on thin ice with me.

Games are clearly tied to the account and console, just like the Xbox. The fact the digital promotion works through your account is proof that your account can register what you've purchased. But at the same time licences are tied to the console, exactly like the 360 is. Although you can't download without the password on a 360, you can set a password on NNID. You just can't transfer NNID's yourself, yet.

It makes sense in its own way. It would be kind of a dick thing to do to delete a game you downloaded when someone else in your family is playing it or whatever.
