The Xbox 360 was launched in 2005 and the PS3 in 2006. By his logic, the PS3 is a gen ahead of the 360.

- Inform someone they're wrong about something, but refuse to explain it. Classic GameFAQs etiquette right there.

Next step is telling me why he "doesn't deserve" an explanation... OH! Or maybe he "wouldn't understand it"? How about... "it's above his intellect"? That always stings... from some compete stranger on the internet. ;)

generation has nothing to do with power, it has to do with succession. think of generation like you would a family. when a new system comes out from a current console maker it is a new generation, just as if someone gave birth to a new child.

it is merely the next thing in line that comes after the old thing, thats it. if someone had a mentally disabled child, you think anyone would argue that the child was not part of the next generation because it wasnt smart or powerful enough? it is the same concept, deal with it.

His logic = Wii U was released after, so it's next gen. Therefore PS4/720 will be current gen while Wii U will be last gen.


Technically wiiU is next gen, it's just on par with last gen performance wise which makes it a really bad next gen system.


You could argue, literally, that it technically is last gen, technologically speaking in the most literal sense.
