I've got a bit of a man-crush on Crispin Freeman, but Liam O'Brien gets massive cred for having a voice that should by all rights be irritating as **** and somehow making it sound incredibly smooth.

I will always hold a special place in my heart for Michael McConnohie as well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Du2mLuK9edk (with a bonus Liam O'Brien at 1:21)

Where's David Hayter?

While I agree that he should be on the list, he's really only voices Snake and nothing else.

And look at the impact the "one" character he voices accomplished.

I think he deserves to be up there because of that one true reason that as soon as you hear that voice you instantly think of MGS and all the stories and twists and memories from it.

Snake is easily one of the top recognized characters of videogames, be it old snake, naked snake, or solid snake you can't say David didn't impact gaming in some way with his voice acting.

Morgan Freeman is the only correct answer.

Pah, Freeman isn't picked for his vocal skills. Rather, because he has a nice voice that people love to hear and people watch stuff purely for it. It's why he does so many documentaries that have nothing to do with him. Celebrity voice over at it's worse.

Also, Hayter may be good as Snake, but what can he do outside of Snake? Where's his variety? His ability to handle different characters in different situations? He is good as Snake and I like him, but I wouldn't say he's the best when he hasn't displayed those crucial abilities to me.

Overall, I'd say Nolan North, easily. He is incredibly gifted with his vocal talents, and really makes every character sound different, while realistic as well in their boundaries. He can take a lot of different character types and work something very unique to a lot of them.
