As opposed to an average fighting game? At least just mashing buttons will get you instant killed by falling. I've seen 6 year olds beat hardcore players on UMVC3 by mashing the buttons.

Mirror matchups alone have a fair bit of depth since the players are equally balanced in all possible ways. I could explain it but this video sums it up quite well enough for some like you.

It's not Smash's fault that people refused to play competitively and just wanted to turn it into a poorly-made Street Fighter clone.

Granted, tripping should be removed, some items should be banned, and Final Smashes were anything but balance, but overall, Melee and Brawl made some great strides toward being competitive.

No, it wont be for casuals, at least, as Namco had stated already. Search before doing such topics, knowledge is also important sometimes.

How did pikachu by become "more op"? They nerfed him so he can't thunder spam like he could in melee.

If anything the balance is much better in brawl because fox and falcon aren't insta win.

Seriously, I play SSB Melee with items turned on, I don't play competitive, actually I'm near "casual crap" for sometimes putting items on very high and playing on Temple... And I dislike the third game.
Has Namco confirmed that they won't do the mess that HAL made with the third game?

I don't see how you can casualize Smash much more than it already is TBQH. I actually think it's probably the best fighting game on the market, but it's certainly super accessible.
