the wii u can sell 100million but it does not contain the hardware to receive good third party support, like the wii.

Actually it does have the hardware to revive good 3rd party games. It's up to developers to make good games. The same should have been said for the Wii, there was no excuse for some devs not to try.

Many did try. And their games flopped because Nintendo marketed the console at little kids and soccer moms who only buy nintendo games and shovelware.

Third parties are not obligated to keep making games that wont sell.

And you have proof that they flopped because of that? Or did they flop because of other reasons like idk maybe poor marketing or maybe the game wasn't that good?

If an abomination like Sonic and the Secret Rings can sell as well as it did on the Wii, I don't see the problem.

In all likelihood, all 3 of them will do well enough, just like they did this generation.

I don't need proof I am not presenting my thesis to the Nobel Committee.

From looking at the top selling games on the wii u, coupled with the type of advertising (ie:the commercials, the talk shows) it was receiving, and the fact that Sony and MS later went after this audience (because that audience is what made the wii so successful) led me, and others, to my conclusion.. And many of the games were very good according to this message board, but that is kind of irrelevant because many of the top selling games are not very good at all. Carnival games comes to mind.

The problem is that it was pretty much only the abominations that were getting great sales.

sales do not make a system, sales....do...not...make....a......system, say it with me drones............

Until Nintendo starts selling a lot of systems, then it's the whole reason they win a generation despite having a crappy gimmick system with maybe ten decent games. Or something.
