Zelda overworlds need more traps and enemies.

It used to be dangerous to go alone.

Now it's a walk in the park. When transitioning from top down display to 3D, Zelda games seemed to nerf the threat of enemies a bit. You don't run into enemies as often, the enemies are a cakewalk, and you'll probably see the same generic enemy wherever you go. There isn't really anything to keep you on your toes. And as 3D Zelda games since Windwaker have been nerfing the exploration in Zelda games, this has become more apparent.

The top down Zelda games still know how to do this as seen with the Tower of Spirits in spirit tracks. But this needs to be shown in a 3D Zelda game too (as well as abandoning the twilight princess and skyward sword style ideas for an overworld entirely, but that's another topic.)

I'd like a Zelda game with traps.

I would caress them and be their onii-chan, it'd be so cute. (No homo)

i was thinking about towns the other day and if they made them alive like the assassins creed games and gave link the same push through crowd animation, hyrule must have a population of about 30 people .

Yeah it needs something, basically every 3D Zelda games (Especially OoT) has been barren as all hell. I think WW actually was the only one that did something and that doesn't count because you aren't technically in Hyrule and everything was very spaced out.

2D Zeldas seem to have the right idea in that we don't have Hyrule field.

Well, there was the Twilight Princess castle town. But the effect is lost once you realize that you can't interact with the majority of people in it. Also, they don't seem to care at all about how their castle and kingdom are under attack.

I don't believe the rumors about the next Zelda because I first saw them on Zelda informer and that site is a load of bogus when it comes to news.

It would be great if they were true though.

The only thing believable about this is the the first dungeon is a forest.
