What game would you pay $200 for?

Obviously no developer is going to sell their game for $200, it's all hypothetical.

Actually, considering the pricing of some DLC packs/expansion packs and all that stuff it is not particularly difficult to get a game's price to reach approximately $200, especially if you're outside of the US where insane markups apply.

To answer the question, I'm not sure I'd pay that much for any game.

I've just paid the equivalent of $130 for Ni No Kuni Wizard's Edition (79.99), and that is the most I've ever paid for a game.

It is steep, but considering the pedigree behind it (huge fan of Ghibli) I'm hardly going to regret it. It just got a 94 from IGN too! Cannot wait for Feb 1st!

You bought a special edition, not a Game worth that price. There's a difference between Ni No Kuni at 130$ and Ni no Kuni Wizard's Edition at 130$.

On topic, I will never pay any amount over the general price 60$. Unless I, from the bottom of my heart would love to have it. Then I would.

On Special editions Anything over 150$ is shot down; and still if it's over 100$ I have to really think about it.

I would pay $200 for Mario Universe, a huge open world pokemon RPG or A fire emblem compilation + new content.

Guitar Hero 7. I am a huge fan of the Guitar Hero series. I wish the GH franchise didn't have to end. :(

This all the way. If we are talking a band bundle pack (so a mic, guitar, and drum set w/ the game) with enhanced instruments, this would easily be worth $200. Heck, I'd be willing to pay a tad more if needed.

The Gamecube was totally underrated.

If Smash 4 would be released now, heck yeah I would pay $200 for it.

I wouldn't pay that much for any game. I already don't think most games are worth $60 price tag on release date.

No game is worth that

I'm not sure I get your angle... I payed the amount for the game because I wanted the Special edition even though I could have just got the Normal edition. Regardless, I still paid the above amount for the game...

Interesting you said Metroid Prime Trilogy and Xenoblade. I just got both for ten bucks.

Crap condition, but after I resurfaced them, they work like new. Best 10 bucks I've ever spent.
