Since Wii U sales have started to slow, should Nintendo consider dropping the price of the system?

Apparently if a console doesn't sell millions every day for the rest of its time, it needs to have a price drop.

No as all launch systems tend to slow down. If this wasn't the case then the Vita should have had a price drop months ago.

It needs more games rather than a price drop.

No, There are a bunch of games coming up that will likely convince people to lay down their dough. Not to mention those who know they're getting the system but are holding off for said games. Such as Pikmin, Bayonetta, Rayman, that Lego game has a lot more interest than I thought it would get.

They need to do away with the basic model and make the pro model the only one but let it come in black or white.

This. Though, I think the deluxe model would cause more losses, even though it's the version that is most sought after. I think just making more deluxe available than basic would be enough.

Sure it needs a price drop. In 9 to 18 months, based on what technology is available when and how sales turn out.

No, it needs software.
Reducing the price of the hardware could possibly do loads more harm than good right now.
