I'd say mindlessly buying a console just for the sake of it isn't a good reason.

And then again, there is nothing wrong with that. Maybe he has plenty of money. The only problem I see, is that if he knows for sure he is getting it then, why not just get it now? It allows you to get familiar with how the system works and you might even find a gem or two you might of otherwise overlooked by waiting. That's the only part that doesn't really make sense to me.

Good idea. If it doesn't have a system seller yet, or enough other games to interest you, then I can understand waiting. :)

I'm going to wait until I can afford one, which may or may not be after E3.

I want too see the future prospects for the system. I am not just gonna go blindly buy it, I stopped doing that after Gameboy Micro.

You know what? I'll wait till the next Zelda game is released. Need to see how it unfold to determine if it's worthy a purchase.
