and think it is a bad thing, it is the greatest compliment you can pay a system. If the wii u ends up being half the system the dreamcast was i will be happy, the dreamcast had amazing, never before possible games and graphics at launch, it had an amazing library of games.Powerstone is better than smashbros.Even now when my wii u is in the presence of my dreamcast it acknowledges it's power and gives it room to breathe, they get on really well .

The only people who claim that the Wii U is the next Dreamcast are people who don't understand why Sega pulled the Dreamcast from the market in the first place. Sadly, this includes many self-proclaimed Dreamcast fans.

...And clearly you're in that category of self-proclaimed fans.

Sega had come off of a failed Genesis peripheral, a flubbed US launch of the Saturn, and some non-game related investments that went south when they finally pulled support for the Dreamcast. Nintendo's position is nowhere comparable to that.

Yup, Dreamcast launched with a TON of great games (Sonic Adventure, Hydro Thunder, Powerstone, Marvel vs. Capcom, NFL 2K, Soul Calibur, etc.) and then continued with a torrent of more great games (Skies of Arcadia, Jet Set Radio, Grandia 2, Shenmue, Sonic Adventure 2, Crazy Taxi, etc etc.) Wii U is NOTHING like the Dreamcast.

If anything, Wii U is sort of like the next Gamecube. It'll be a "success" in that it makes a profit for Nintendo, but it will be completely overshadowed by the competition. (Gamecube sold less than 1/4 what the Wii did. I think similar performance is likely for Wii U)

they have the PC version of Darksiders 2 running on WiiU in 1080 native at 60 fps and full graphics options on. Neither 360 or PS3 can come close

As far as the games go, I'd love it if the Wii U was like the Dreamcast.
