Digital Foundry did a framerate comparison. All three versions drop below 30fps often enough. Screen tearing was also present on the 360 and PS3 versions. The Wii U version is fully V-synced. The Wii U version is also the only one with AA.

Wii U board rule: If the topic title has ANY adjective with a negative implication... it's time to pee pants.

It's been so long since a console launched that people have forgotten what it's like. I remember playing Conker Live and Reloaded on an HDTV right before the 360 was released. Playing games like Kameo and King Kong on Microsofts new console that year didnt prove to look much better, if at all, than what was currently available. Same goes for Wii U. In 6 years, the games on this console will look stunning.

Launch games almost never show off a system's graphical potential. I'm guessing all of the kiddies wouldn't even know about the N64's launch. Mario 64, while an extremely fun game and introduced the gaming community to the 3D world, really wasn't as impressive graphically as something like Banjo-Kazooie/Tooie. It takes times for developers.

And as someone already pointed out, many of the multi-platform launch titles were more than likely just lazily ported to the Wii U. Sure, control schemes were changed, but that's not actually that hard to change. They did not completely build the game up from scratch. They just wanted a quick port to a system without spending much time or money because they figured a quick port would make them money. If you really want to compare Wii's power, look at Trine 2. That game is gorgeous on the Wii U and runs fantastically. I have not encountered framerate issues and the game looks beautiful.

Just give it time. If in a year, EXCLUSIVE games look bad, then you win. I say exclusive because of lazy ports by lazy developers.

LOL and some people honestly think Wii U will be powerful enough to get next-gen multiplatform games? It can barely even handle current-gen.

Because basing a system's capabilities on badly programmed ports is all that's needed....

So is it just a bad port? I honestly thought the Wii u just couldn't handle it. I wish there was a demo of it so I could've tried it before buying it. I should've went with sonic all stars lol

Also can you even return a game for not liking it ?

I noticed it right away while fighting the guys outside the court house at the very Beggining of the game (4-5 guys) . I was gonna post this topic on the Arkaham city page but..it's dead. I did however found a topic in there about someone else complaining about the frame rate too, read through the 3 pages and its pretty much 50% / 50% . Half the people say they have noticed it too & the other half says that the people claiming of noticing frame rate issues are just trolls trying to turn people away from the game .

Actually this is probably the first console launch that much of gfaqs has consciously gone through :p. Probably half the site was only 6 or 7 when the 360 came out. Hell, the board even mysteriously forgets that the PS3 went through the same, if not worse, than the U is going through at it's launch. At least with the U we don't have to wait 2 years for another game worth playing.
