Also keep in mind that the Wii U overscans any image on your hdtv (meaning the picture is zoomed in a bit which likely may show more jaggies or even blurring). This may be why some of you guys think wii games look marginally worse on the Wii U than the Wii. Easiest solution is the change the picture ratio setting to "Just-Scan", "Screen Fit" instead of the regular 16x9 widescreen ratio to fix that problem.

You got it backwards, kinda. Most HDTVs have 5% overscan with non 1080 sources. The Wii countered this with built in underscan. When playing Wii games on the Wii U you will have a black border around the image in just scan mode. Enabling overscan gets rid of the black border.

The Wii U menus were built with just scan in mind and will have overscan issues if the TV isn't running in just scan.
