Do you think a 2tb external drive will last?

Just wondering how much space people think the average user will use over this consoles lifetime?

I have a 160gb Ps3 and I've pretty much filled it up. Not sure About the Wii U, I was going to download nba2k13 but it said I didn't have enough space...lame.

You can't download that many discbased retail games on the Xbox 360 4 GB internal memory or the PS3 12 GB internal memory.

320gb on my 360 has done me fine so far. 2tb would be very safe I think.

Aren't the Wii U discs 25 gigs tops? So downloading them would mean that even if every game you got hit the max, it would still be enough for 80 games. That's more than enough for the "average user".

Not to mention Wii U won't ever get that many games worth playing.

It'll probably get up to 20 awesome first party must-haves, 15-20 excellent 3rd party exclusives, and 600-700 shovelware titles.

Wouldn't it be more like 72?

Well, let's see. For simplicity's sake, let's say that 2TB is 2000GB (I know it's not that exactly, but it makes it simpler). And assume each game is 25GB (I'm unaware of any that have gotten this big, but that's the size the disc can hold at least for now). That'll fit 80 games. If using the actual size of 2TB (2048GB), you can squeeze two more games in there.

I can't think of any system that I've owned that many games for (except maybe PC over the span of many console generations), personally.
