Is Zelda:SS really that terrible, or is it an over-exaggeration?

I'd really like an honest non-biased answer to this, because I've been thinking of getting it to get an extra fill of Zelda-like games (I do have DS 2, but I'd like another game of that style when I get done with that). Already have Zelda:TP.

From what I hear, it mainly revolves around the motion controls. In what way is it bad? Is it tedious? Overused? Is there anything else in the game worth mentioning to potential buyers?

I'm not expecting a 10/10 game, as many great games even come from 7/10 ratings.

Motion controls are great, revisiting the same places is whats tedious.

High exaggeration.

It's great, has some issues, but there's nothing majorly wrong with the game.

I love it, but that's just me. I'm not claiming to be unbiased but I'm not influenced by nostalgia or fan expectations.
Hello... you lost me at "hello"...

Over - exaggeration.
GameFAQs is like a car crash - you know it's horrible but you just can't turn away.

It's obviously an exaggeration, they said the same thing about TP (which, incidentally, is now loved in the wake of SS).

Zelda basically always does this. The new game is always the worst thing ever until the next one comes out, at which time the new game is the worst game ever for not being like the previous one.

It's the only Zelda game that I would consider bad.
I want to move to a nice, quaint house in the suburbs with the T-Mobile girl and make lots of babies with her.

It's a huge exaggeration. It's all part of the Zelda cycle; the new Zelda is always the worst one ever, until the next one is announced, and at that point it becomes a beloved classic. For examples, see Majora's Mask through Twilight Princess.

It's really quite excellent. People just hate Fi (I'm in the same boat), so they automatically make it out to be the worst game ever made.

Check my quote. I have stuff there, because stuff is cool.
