I'd love to see Mario/Sonic, and I'd also be interested in seeing Nintendo and Capcom have some form of cross over as well. Mega Man/something?

Pangya x Mario Golf

Mario is running around when suddenly an airship appears headed toward Peach's Castle. Mario dashes to the scene, but it's not Bowser that he finds...

... the Mushroom Kingdom has been invaded by Kooh, captain of the pirate ship, Lunar Tomb. Its fate to be decided in a manner befitting a pirate queen, PangYa (Golf)!!

Nintendo Vs Capcom, who is with me?

I wouldn't be surprised, honestly. These kinds of ventures are profitable. Why else would they throw SMT in with Fire Emblem? I don't think either of those franchises when thinking about their counterparts. This is clearly more to get Fire Emblem more popular than it already is, and I hope it works for the sake of fans on both sides. I won't be purchasing it unless it's the break-out, must-have game of the year and people are chomping at the bit to get their copy.

Anyway, now that Marvel's infamously protecting their IP's with an iron fist, while Nintendo is clearly being more open with their IP's, Nintendo vs. Capcom wouldn't be at all farfetched by this point.

But I prefer not to hold my breath.

For the following, it should be:

Metroid X Megaman

Samus is perfect for the genre mix.

probably the rumored metroid x star fox

That got debunked by the same guy who teased it apparently.

Sort of. It was one of many proposed game ideas that were actually... uh, proposed, but it wasn't actually in development and had no plans of every being developed.
