Out of curiosity, what technological aspects would qualify next gen? I want measurements not conjecture.

60 fps, 1080p, higher poly counts on the character, more characters on screen at once? More complex physics, improved AI, better lighting and particle effects. Lot's of things should improve with next gen. The character models at least look current gen, but the large environments and draw distance do look a little more impressive than your average PS360 title.

There is nothing in the footage that would leave me to believe otherwise.Looks really good for a Nintendo game. Still not next gen though.

Honestly i'm just gonna say so what?

The game looks nice.

Sometimes I wonder what can make today's graphics any better. I don't think there will be any big graphical leap in the future. But that's just what I think.

It already looks best for me.

2-4x AA minimum for every game, 1080p/near 1080p resolution for every game, better draw distance, more objects/effects onscreen at one time, higher poly models etc. - of course since we're talking about consoles, the AA and 1080p is probably just a dream, but it would be nice if console manufacturers finally standardized on 1080p, but I have a feeling they will stick to 720p for the most part yet again to cram more onscreen with the low power/relatively low heat output GPUs they have to use to fit the console formfactor/cost ceiling.

If that Draw distance is going to exist in the full release then its beyond whats possible on current gen.

PS+ has paid it's self for me. So from here on out I will refer to any new games as free.

IDK perhaps a noticable step up in graphics that can not be performed by current gen?

You know like the step up from PS2 to PS3 and xbox to xbox 360

Metroid Zero Mission and Super Metroid are some of the finest 2D games ever made and are the best in the series.
Metroid Fusion is pretty cool I guess.

Nintendo owns Monolith Soft, so no, it can't.

Xenoblade on Wii had better draw distance than any game on the PS3 or 360. Skyrim, Dragon's Dogma, neither of them come close to drawing in assets like Xenoblade does. Then you have the load times, which are unmatched by any other game I have played.
