Question about the $1-$1.50 VC charge.

Is it only for games you transport from you Wii to your WiiU? Do you still have an option to not buy the feature if bought on a WiiU?

Its for VC titles that have the ability to be on the GamePad.

And you only pay $1.00 if you already had the title.

Do you still have an option to not buy the feature if bought on a WiiU?

Yes.

So does that mean you don't have to pay to get the feature if you buy on the WiiU? It's pre-installed (so to speak)?

Yes, you can play all your old games on your Wii U in Wii Mode.

That I am not entirely sure of.

For those who didn't transfer, the prices are normal charges with buying the games - all the added features included (GamePad, Off TV Play, Miiverse, Pro Controller, etc.). It was shown in the Nintendo Direct the regular prices for the Wii U versions are NES games $4.99-$5.99 USD and SNES games $7.99-$8.99 USD starting off.

I think all Virtual Console games bought on Wii U will have the added features included at the regular prices. The $1.00 and $1.50 fees are only for the games you've previously bought for Wii that you want to transfer over to Wii U. You're pretty much re-buying those games, but at reduced prices.

The games will have to be re-worked to be compatible with Wii U, so all of the older Virtual Console games aren't going to be available at the launch of the service.

Wrong it's a new emulator they don't have to touch the roms, any delays will be because of licensing issues and/or Nintendo's incompetence.

I think what the TC is asking about is if the reduced price for Wii U VC games only applies if, before you get the game on Wii U VC, you originally got the game on a Wii system and transferred it to the Wii U, as opposed to buying it through the shop on the Wii U's Wii menu and never having it on an old Wii. I would assume that the price will still be the lower price even if you got the game on Wii U hardware first, since the point is to lessen the cost of having to get the game twice, not to reward you for having had a Wii before the Wii U.

Think of it like buying DLC for your VC games. DLC that adds Miiverse content and Off TV play.
