Mario and Sonic Sochi 2014 "rumors"

I saw these on /v/ yesterday. The topic was gone right away and it's obvious why.

I'm just posting these because we all know there's going to be one this year, so may as well talk about it.

Anyways...

The guy worked with the Wii U version but said there's a 3DS one as well. a lot of the modes can use both the wiimote and the game pad, but there is no five-player games. I wanna say he mentioned something about the balance board? He mentioned that Skeleton with the pad is a lot of fun.

He claimed one of the new modes was called "Dream Champions", which was a mode where you pick a team of four and complete a series of dream events against the unlockable characters. Beating it once unlocks Diddy Kong(Speed), twice unlocks Rouge(All-Around), three times unlocks Big(Power), and four times unlocks Rosalina(Technique).

Other than that he claimed there was a less interesting mode with most of the plain events. He said Dry Bowser, Jet The Hawk, Boom Boom, Eggman Nega, Birdo, and Chaos 0 are some of the bosses.

He said the dream events are just as immersive as the previous two. He listed two from Mario and two from Sonic, but claims there's quite a bit, some aren't even winter sports:

Dream Snowboard Cross: Tick Tock Clock(Super Mario 64)
He claimed that you can grind on a lot of clock hands and such, and that you start at the top of the level, and just ride down in a spiral. There are thwomps at certain spots that smash down and a segment with a lot of gears. There's a lot of Mario kart ramps to do tricks off of.

Dream Ski Cross: Sweet Mountain(Sonic Colors)
He said in this one you're fired out of cannons, and bounce off giant jelly molds. There's a segment where you have to navigate through a lollipop forest and then you go away from the candy part for a bit to a mechanical part.

Dream Bobsled: Rosalina's Ice World(Mario Kart 7)
He mentioned that the beginning looks familiar if you've played Mario Kart 7. You start running, then right away you get to that huge pit. It leads into a dark cave where lumas light the way. You are then led to a tunnel underwater where penguins swim around, and back into a cave. Near the end he says you finish in front of the Comet Observatory. Otherwise, it plays the same as the winter 2010 version.

Dream Short Track Relay: Casino Park(Sonic Heroes)
He said this one was a blast. He said you start at certain segments, then your teammates take over at different ones until the finish line.. He said one segment was a spiral around a giant roulette wheel, another has you skate through a pinball launcher, and another has you jumping off giant dice.

He also said there was "A ****ton of collectables, more than the other games", and said there was plenty of music, even some surprising pieces from lesser talked about games in both series, lots of costumes for your Mii, and a scrapbook feature that had artwork form all Mario and Sonic eras (He mentioned artwork of Wario from SML2 and Amy from Sonic CD for starters)

Otherwise yeah it sounds fake. But I enjoy what little speculation/opinion arguing we have, so commence.

So I'm still waiting for Daisy to reappear in something that's not a spinoff.
I'll probably end up dying first or something but optimism is fun.

Well, the series is pretty mediocre so i'm glad no one cares.

Do we really need another one of these? Sure I guess they could do new stuff with the Gamepad, but I think having three of them on the Wii was overkill.
