The ads on Xbox Live are obnoxious because you pay $60 a year for the service. If the WiiU had ads and the service was free I wouldn't mind, same goes for Sony's online.

xbox live is not 60 dollars a year if you aren't stupid, there tons of ways to get it a year each at 30 or 40

So 30, 40 dollars for ads is acceptable?

no, i dislike the ads a lot, especially on halo waypoint when i have to watch a dumbass get hit by a truck and walk through acid

Which brings me to this question: Are we in danger of getting this kind of garbage on the Wii U?

Ads ruin a game's overall experience. N is very protective of the game experience. So, I'd say negative.

Also, N has a history of not allowing ads, except for including their own IP sometimes in a game.
