Nintendo doesn't approve of emulators, so I don't use them.

I will admit that I used an emulator to play Mother 3 till I beat it, but I deleted it out of guilt. I'm never doing it again.

Seriously, what are the consequences of emulation?

The court doesn't decide what I know is right.

There have been no court cases based on emulation and roms ever. Ever.

So even if you're some sort of patriot and think your justice system is serving you, you're still not doing any more good or harm than someone who emulates. Not emulating is actually kind of stupid.

Riiiiight, because taking something you've never once paid for when it's a brand new game, and denying devs any money for their creation, is suuuuuch a smart move.

You can justify it to yourself all you like, but that's all it is; an unrealistic self-justification.
If you've never bought the game before emulating the rom of it, you're stealing, regardless of court cases, whether you want to admit it to yourself or not.
