I may not buy it, but, the resolution honestly wouldn't change my mind at all.

Resolution is a ridiculous aspect to base a decision on. That said, there are other aspects that there is no information on that may influence my decision. As it stands, odds are I won't be getting this game. The GameCube version was enough.

On the condition that the actual game is improved (streamlining the menus a bit, more dungeons, more content etc) and/or the art style looks decent enough. Sure.

Hell yes.

It's worth noting that Nintendo did release some 1080p, non-upscaled screens of the Windfall island demo. Make of that what you will.
Mario vs. Donkey Kong is a hideously underrated game.
